A few words about

What We Do

Our expertise

We connect science, policy and practice to improve water quality.

We are an NGO providing independent, evidence led support to institutions in Poland and in Europe, private companies, and universities. We use existing data and modelling to understand pollution pressures, test solutions, and forecast outcomes and we design passive and nature-based treatment concepts that reduce pollutants at the source. Our aim is practical: clearer decisions, stronger compliance, and measurable environmental impact.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & POLICY
Water Framework Directive compliance, permits and assurance

We support organisations to meet environmental legislation and regulator expectations – from Water Framework Directive (WFD) objectives to permitting, audits, and performance reporting. We translate policy into practical actions, manage evidence requirements, and help programmes stay on track for time, cost, and quality.

EVIDENCE & ADVISORY
Independent review, assurance and recommendations

We review and interpret existing monitoring programmes and datasets to assess compliance, risk and performance. Where needed, we provide monitoring specifications and Quality Assurance and Quality Control advice for others to implement, helping organisations build defensible evidence for regulators and stakeholders.

Water Pollution remediation
Passive treatments and nature based solutions that remove pollutants at the source

We develop process designs for passive remediation, focusing on water chemistry, treatment pathways and performance. Schemes typically divert impacted water through vertical-flow compost reactors and polishing wetlands, where pollutants are immobilised and solids are retained before clean, oxygenated water is returned to the river.

Modelling and Forecasting of water Pollution
Predict pollution before it peaks and act with confidence

We combine monitoring data (field sampling, sensors, radar and satellite products) to trace pollution sources, simulate transport pathways, and test “what-if” scenarios. Using the latest environmental science and programming tools, we estimate pollutant loads and model how water bodies respond (nutrients, heavy metals, bacteria, oxygen dynamics, and other contaminants). Where it adds value, we can also integrate data-driven forecasting to generate near-term risk outlooks and early-warning alerts, supporting faster interventions and smarter investment in prevention.
